    Each day we will wear something different to remind our students to make good choices.

    Make a choice to be drug free!!!

    Mon, Oct. 21st: Wear red to kick off (Red Ribbon Week)
    Tues, Oct. 22nd: Wear dress-code appropriate Pajamas (Dreaming of a drug free life!)
    Wed, Oct. 23rd: Wear your favorite sports team shirt / jersey (Team up against drugs!)
    Thurs, Oct. 24th: Crazy Hair and crazy sock day (From head to toe we are drug free)
    Fri, Oct. 25th: Crazy Hat Day (Tip your hat to a drug free world!)

    Literacy Night

    Join us for an evening of family fun! We will have learning activities for the family, our book fair will be open and the evening will end with a musical performance from our 2nd and 3rd graders!

  • Book Character Parade

    Book Character Parade

    Parents, as a literacy celebration we will have our first annual Book Character Parade on October 31 at 8:00 am! Our students are invited to dress up as their favorite book character and join the parade. Teachers will send out specific information and a permission slip for participation. Parents you are invited to join us in the front foyer to see all of the creative book character as they go by!

    Encourage your student to participate each week in our theme days:

    Wednesday: Wear a t-shirt showing us your favorite college, trade school or branch of the armed services. Our goal is to generate discussion about opportunities after high school.

    Friday: Spirit Days: Wear your school t-shirt or simply wear our school colors: red and lack. We are promoting Dessau Dragon Pride!

    Please join PTO and support the students and staff at Dessau ES. We are currently seeking candidates for PTO President, Treasurer, Secretary and other key positions. We would love to have you work alongside of us. Please contact the front office (512-594-4600)if you are interested in holding these positions or just finding out more information about how to participate. Our students deserve a PTO who supports them! Please consider joining today!

  • District Gifted Advisory – Seeking Volunteers:

    District Gifted Advisory – Seeking Volunteers:

    The District Gifted Advisory group will consist of at least one parent per feeder pattern (preferably two - one elementary and one secondary), one elementary and one secondary administrator, and one GT Specialist.

    Pflugerville ISD parents of gifted learners are encouraged to apply to represent their campus feeder pattern as a Parent Adviser for Gifted Education (PAGE). PAGE’s will:

    participate in district gifted advisory meetings
    learn more about gifted education in Pflugerville ISD
    share ideas to help continuously improve GT services district wide

    Interested parents should apply. Applications are due by September 25, 2019.

    Applicants will be contacted to serve on the committee by September 30, 2019. The first meeting will be held on Monday, October 28.
