An Educational Legacy Continues: We Give
Dear Timmerman Families,
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! I am so excited to meet this wonderful Timmerman Community that I have heard about all summer long. Likewise, I’m sure you would like to know a little more about me too.
I grew up in Ohio where I worked and lived on my family’s farm which has been owned and operated by my family since the late 1800’s. The value of hard work, the importance of having a strong work ethic was instilled deep into my character starting at a young age. I moved to Springfield, MO, to start college in 1994. During college I met and married my husband Joshua who joined the military 1997. This is why we moved to Texas. During our time in the military Joshua was deployed to Bosnia, served a year in Korea and then finished his time in the military at Ft. Knox. I chose to stay in Killeen and worked on my master’s degree, taught middle school English and AVID, and served at our church as the youth leader. When Joshua left the Army he was asked to serve on staff as one of the pastors at that same church. He served on staff at this church just until this past December. Also during this time in our lives we welcomed two little boys into our family, Christian (7) and Judah (2). It has now been over a year ago that we began to prepare to make our move to Pflugerville so that we could launch a new church. I have been so touched by the warm welcome everyone in this community has shown my family, and as a family we are so excited to be here.
More importantly, I am honored that I have been given the privilege of serving you in the capacity of principal here atTimmerman. This will be my 17thyear as an educator and 5th year as a principal. I have worn and still wear many “hats”: educator, wife, mother, pastor’s wife, and military spouse. The common thread that all these roles have is that I have the opportunity to love and serve people. People, children and working toward making this the best world for them is my joy.
You have my commitment on this: together with my staff we will continually work to give your children love, a joy for learning which will come from a strong academic base that will prepare them for their futures. Our theme this year is celebrating the past and looking forward to the future…a future in which the children who grace our hallways this year will impact for the good.
Thank you in advance for partnering with my staff and me for your child’s education this upcoming year. We encourage and are always pleased to have parents join us in this team effort for the success of children. Should there ever be a time during the year that you need anything, don’t ever hesitate to call. We are here to serve you and your child.
In your service,
