Support the Library!
You can support the library at River Oaks in several ways. One way is to volunteer time during the week. Another way is by shopping at our Scholastic Book Fairs. We host two Book Fairs every year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The library earns money from the sales at the book fairs, which in turn allows the library to pay for books and supplies. Also, buying from Book Fair helps build a home library to support at-home reading, which is shown to directly affect a student's success.
Spring Book Fair
Family Night: Thursday, April 27 from 5:30-7:00
Book Fair Set Up on Friday, April 21 from 12:00-3:30
Book Fair Take Down on Friday, April 28 from 2:30-4:00
Stay off the Summer Slide!
Research over the last 100 years shows that students who do not read over the summer can slide backward in their progress. Avoid this by making sure your child reads throughout the summer. Visit local public libraries for reading programs and to check out books to read at home.

The library is always in need of volunteers. Volunteering can consist of shelving books, helping students locate books, assisting with check in and check out, processing books, or helping Ms.Snell prepare materials. Volunteers are also highly desired for working at the Book Fairs in November and May.
All volunteers must complete a volunteer application with Pflugerville ISD, which may be accessed here.
