• What does a school social worker do?
School social workers are on campus to support the academic success of students by assisting with any social, emotional, and behavioral needs that may arise. School social workers help students to build social skills, develop and maintain healthy coping strategies, and utilize positive problem-solving techniques.

After completing her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, she went on to earn her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Texas at Austin.
