Spirit group to support students. Students must be on Spirit Team or in an outside cheer organization for one year before trying out for cheerleading. Tryouts are in March/April for the following school year. Cheerleaders attend a summer camp, support school spirit and cheer at sports events.
Our purpose is to rid our school of discrimination, hatred, and intolerance. We want to start a trend of peace and acceptance among our student body.
Drama club is open to any student interested in participating in after school play productions. Members of the club are expected to pass all of their classes and behave appropriately at all times. Every year we have a fall play in October and a spring play in March or April. For more information students may pick up a meeting and rehearsal calendar from Mrs. Morgan in the drama room.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA):
A interdenominational ministry that reaches out to the young athletes and students at Pflugerville Middle School. The group meets twice a month in A114 for fellowship, bible study and fun. It is open to all students in all grades.
Fishing Club :
Student anglers fish in local monthly tournaments, online tournaments and tagged fish tournaments as well as participate in chapter outings, river trips, boat building, lure making, rod making and fly fishing/tying classes. All anglers fish against other middle school teams for trophies, fishing equipment, and SCHOLARSHIPS! Anglers of all skill levels, both male and female, are invited to join.
Honor Society members are chosen during their 7th grade year by faculty members based on scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character and academic classes of 4 consecutive six weeks of 90% or better. During their 8th grade year, members will act as leaders on their campus, be involved in services projects that will benefit the school and community, while maintaining a 90% overall grade average in their classes.
Spirit group open to all students. Assists cheerleaders in supporting students at athletic events and generating school spirit. No experience required; can serve as an opportunity to gain experience for cheerleading. Attendance required at games and practices as determined by sponsors.
Student leadership group. Provides direct support to school in humanitarian, social, and other leadership efforts.
