As summer begins, Mr. Lucio and Ms. Pinner are looking forward to next year.  This serves as a reminder for summer band, as well as a supply list for next year. 

 

Summer Band: August 5-9

It is required (and free!) for all Symphonic Band, Honor Band, and Wind Ensemble members.

Different themes each day!!!

Dress comfortably and in school dress code…sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats recommended for Friday’s activity

Materials: Instrument, Foundations for Superior Performance Book, accessories (reeds, oil, sticks, mallets, etc), football music

August 5, 6, and 7

8:00-8:55 am: French Horn and Flute/Oboe

9:00-9:55 am: Trumpet and Clarinet (not bass or contra)

10:00-10:55 am: Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, and Saxophone

                                 11:00-11:55 am: Percussion, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, and Contra                                         
(Low Clarinets, please bring $30 for instrument rental and 4 reeds: strength 3…reeds will NOT be provided)

August 8

8:00-9:30 am: Full Woodwind/Full Brass Rehearsal

10:00-11:30 am: Percussion only

August 9

8:00-9:30 am: Full Woodwind/Full Brass and Percussion Rehearsal

10:00-11:30 am: Full Band Rehearsal

Noon-2:00 PM: Team Building/Pizza Party (Optional…Bring your own soda/water/Gatorade and $5 fee for pizza/activity supplies)

 

Supplies for 2013-2014 School Year

4.     Tuner/Metronome Combo (Korg TM-40 OR Korg TM-50)

  

5.     Contact Mic (for tuner)

7.     Lyre for your specific instrument
 
8.     Tuxedo Style Shirt (can be purchased at Michaels or Hobby Lobby)
 
9.     Black dress pants (no jeans, skirts, wind pants, shorts)
 

10.                        Black dress shoes (no sandals or tennis shoes)

 
 
 
Parents:

All student info must be entered into our CHARMS system. It is our new office management system. We need email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses so that we can better communicate with all of those involved in the Puma band program. Just follow these simple directions:
