What is our school history?

Dessau Middle School opened its doors in August of 1999. Students from surrounding elementary schools make-up the school’s student population, which averages over 1,000 students. Our mascot is the Diamondback and our school colors are navy, maroon, and white.

What is the school’s demographic profile?

We are a targeted Title I school with over 62% of our student population receiving either free or reduced lunch. Of the over 1,000 students, 12% are Asian, 27% are African American, 44% are Hispanic, and 17% are White.
