PACE About Us

The Pflugerville Academic Center of Excellence (PACE) Program is a full-time high school diploma program for students who have dropped out of high school or who are highly at risk for such reasons as being over age for grade level, pregnancy, and parenting.

No students are enrolled directly in to PACE. Students who move into the district but have not attended a PISD high school must still obtain a PACE application and approval from the counselor or assistant principal at the high school they would attend based on residence. All referrals to the PACE Program must come from the student’s home high school counselor or assistant principal.

PACE students must:

  • adhere to PACE behavior standards as outlined in the PACE and District's Rules and Procedures including PACE’s dress policy
  • limit absences to no more than four (4) per semester and make up time for any excused absences exceeding the four allowed (Excessive unexcused absences will be filed on for truancy and can result in the student being dismissed from PACE)
  • complete all graduation requirements within projected time unless extenuating circumstances dictate an extension
  • meet TEA standards on Exit-Level TAKS

An agreement to abide by program requirements and guidelines must be signed by all student participants and parent/guardian before student enters the program.

Interested students should contact their High School Counseling Department.
