March brings us ever closer to the STAAR (State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness) testing this spring.  Teachers and students are working harder than ever to prepare for these rigorous tests.  Our students will be assessed on the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) standards mandated by the state of Texas for 4th grade writing on April 2nd & 3rd.  The 5th grade will test in math and reading over the same 2 days.  As a result, we will not allow any visitors during these testing days.

Our teachers and staff have been addressing the needs of all our students based on data that we collect from different sources. The reporting and supportive categories of the TEKS are specific to students and grade levels. Our teachers and staff create lesson plans that will address specific needs for each student. Our teachers and staff are to be commended for the awesome work they do!

Please talk with your children and encourage them to do their best everyday. We are very grateful for all of your continuous support; it goes a long way for our students, teachers, and staff.
