Attendance - It Counts
School attendance is crucial to student learning and success! Students who attend school regularly tend to make better grades than those who have frequent absences. Punctuality to school is also important! Students need to be in the classrooms daily at 7:20 AM. Students are tardy at 7:40 AM.
Compulsory School Attendance
Regular Attendance is Texas state law. For students with 10 or more unexcused absences within a six month period, the school is required by law to file a complaint in court against the parent or guardian for any child under the age of 17 years.
Tardies: Three tardies within six weeks of any grading period will cause a student to not receive recognition for perfect attendance.
