Our students did a great job! The day was a success!

Our first nine weeks is winding down. Please encourage your student to take care of their grades. This is another UIL eligibility check.

Each day during Power Hour, students should take responsibility of their learning and go to see their teachers for extra help, homework help, or make-ups.

There are no excuses for failing grades as students have an opportunity to get the help they need during the school day.

    Thanks for your support!

    Greetings and Happy Tuesday!

Our halls are a bit more crowded as we have added our third class. Students are doing a great job of finding their way and all is well.

    Power Hour

Power Hour has begun and is a privilege for our students. From 12:05 – 1:05 students have the opportunity to take care of their business.

    Students are expected to:

    • Eat lunch
    • Attend tutorials
    • Participate in club or interest groups
    • Visit with counselors, including college and career options
    • Retests and make-up exams
    • Access computers in the library
    • UIL prep time
    • EOC intervention sessions
    • Attend lunch detentions

We want students to take responsibility for their needs. This allows them to see teachers during the school day instead of having to stay after school.

ID’s – it is an expectation that all students and adults have their ID visible throughout the school day.

Come out and support our WHS programs this week.

We appreciate the fact that students took it seriously and we look forward to successful results. Way to go Wolf Pack!

AVID recruitment has begun! If your student is interested in this wonderful college prep program, they must get an invitation from Coach Schier in room D109. All applications are due on Friday, May 11. Come join the Weiss AVID family!

Congratulations to our boys track team! The Weiss 4x100 Relay and 400 Meter Dash had an awesome performance and will be advancing to the 19-4A and 20-4A Regional Track Meet this week.

Individuals who will be advancing are: Jaden Askew, Edric Whitley, Stewart Miller and Gerald Brown!
