As the entire Pflugerville ISD community honors the district’s past with the dedication of a Texas Historical Marker on Oct. 12, graduates of Pflugerville High School through the Class of 1973 are also invited to attend a Pflugerville High School Reunion.
“This is actually the third All-Year reunion we have had,” Vernagene Mott, PISD school board vice president said. “We chose to have a more expanded reunion because our campus was so small at the time that many people had friends and classmates who were in a different graduating class. Also for those who were in extracurricular activities, you were around many of your classmates in a different grade.”
The Reunion committee has created a variety of activities for alumni on Friday, Oct. 12 including a tour of the original classrooms of Timmerman Elementary School at 3:45 p.m. and the Texas Historical Marker Dedication at 4:30 p.m. Additionally, the football players from the Classes of 1958-1962 will be recognized at 6:40 p.m. during the PHS vs. McNeil High School football game at Kuempel Stadium. These players set a national record for the number of consecutive wins at 55. Presale tickets to the football game are $7 for adults and $3 for children; all tickets are $8 at the gate.
On Saturday, Oct. 13, alumni may visit the Heritage House Museum, 9001 Old Austin-Hutto Road, between 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Additionally, alumni are invited to the district’s dedication of Barron Elementary at 10 a.m., 14850 Harris Ridge Blvd. and then to Pfluger Hall for lunch.
Lunch tickets at Pfluger Hall are $30 per person, which includes the meal, displays, a program, and fun and music with Fritz. Attendees are asked to RSVP to Cyndi Motlock or by phone at 512-466-2366.
