Road Construction

The City of Pflugerville will rehabilitate and reconstruct the pavement along Grand Avenue Parkway from Pflugerville Parkway to the city limits near Viki Lynn Place beginningNovember 6th.

Construction will occur over the next 90 days, weather permitting.

Phase 1 begins south of Pflugerville Parkway and ends just north of the Gilleland Creek bridge.  Phase 1 is expected to be completed by mid-December, weather permitting. Once activities in the Phase 1 area are completed, traffic patterns north of Black Locust will return to their current conditions.  During this same time, the City will also be completing the construction of a new traffic signal at the Grand Avenue Parkway and Black Locust Drive intersection.

Phase 2  will complete the job from south of the bridge to Viki Lynn Place.  Each phase will require that all traffic be moved to one side of the roadway, with a single lane being provided for each direction at all times.

The City encourages drivers to slow down and use extra caution in all construction zones, but especially in construction zones near schools.  If PfISD staff or any students’ parents have questions, please contact the City’s project manager, Chad Wood, at or 512-990-6341.
