Greetings Weiss Families,

It’s been a great couple of weeks at WHS.

We are proud of the way our students are learning and performing. Another round of testing is approaching quickly.

Congratulations to many groups who continue to raise, above all, expectations:

Mara Nitzschke went undefeated in the first two rounds of the regional tennis tournament. She placed fourth – way to go!

Congratulations to our boys track team! The Weiss 4x100 Relay and 400 Meter Dash had an awesome performance and will be advancing to the 19-4A and 20-4A Regional Track Meet this week.

Individuals who will be advancing are: Jaden Askew, Edric Whitley, Stewart Miller and Gerald Brown!

The Weiss women also competed well, advancing to the regional track meet.

  • 100 meters: Mckayla Francios
  • 4X100: Carley Edwards, Jordan McKeel, Chanel Sims, Mckayla Francios
  • Sophia Reyes in 3200-meter run
  • Jordan Mckeel in 200-meter dash

We are excited to announce that Weiss High School has their first FCCLA national qualifier!

Jillian Levine (9th grade) placed first at FCCLA State Leadership Conference and was awarded a $4,000 scholarship to Texas Tech.

She will be attending the National Conference in Atlanta, Ga. this June.

All who competed did a great job represented Weiss High School!

We hope you make it a great week!
